My list of 9 things
Been tagged often enough and feel socially obliged to come up with my own list. Won't have it up on fb since I'm too shy..really!
1. If I only had to stick with one cuisine for the rest of my life, it would be Japanese.
2. My favorite cuisines are Japanese, Thai, Malay, Indian and Australian.
3. I would like to go for a silence retreat in the near future.
4. I love soft pastel shades (cream, white-based powder pink, lemon cream, dreamy mint), cool deep purples, soft gray, cool dark chocolate brown. These preferences manifest in my material possessions.
5. Bikram yoga is the best workout revelation that has happened to me (if you're looking for a more spiritual slant, I'd suggest a different hatha practice).
6. I plan to travel to Bhutan.
7. Qualities that are very important to me, in no particular order: beauty, elegance, grace, compassion, calmness, faith.
8. I am not a demonstrative person. I treasure my friends although keeping in contact isn't a strong point. But I will take that 3am call and I am always there. Just let me know.
9. I believe that life is about living in the present; because everything you are now is a result of what you did in the past, and everything that you do now will influence what you will be in the future. Being thankful for everything good that is happening to you, and understanding that the unpleasant things that happen occur because there are lessons to be learnt. And that finally, eventually, sometime, someday - every thing will pass.
Simplify Your Life…
"It takes too much time and energy to keep too many possessions in good order. The truth of the matter is that the more unnecessary 'necessities' you have, the less peace you have; and the less you are possessed by possessions, the more happiness you have."
- Paramahansa Yogananda
