really like the UK

first off - M, thanks so much for connecting me to J in the UK -she's awesome!

the weather's been freezing so far, too cold for end-of-summer; around 15 degrees or colder usually.

i really like the cotswold area (where i've been the past few days), and even industrial liverpool was beautiful (at least, the city centre).

boss brought us for a rugby union match last night - exciting!! my very first rugby match, and some of the players were very very goodlooking alpha male sorts *starry-eyed* we went for indian food and beer afterwards (i drank ginger ale) which apparently is the thing that brits do after a match. the indian food was pretty good - poppadums and paneer were divine.

have been eating tons of sandwiches over the last few days - carb overload!! but at least the choices are decent - brie, cranberry and grape on wholemeal, extra mature cheddar in a ploughman's sandwich, smoked salmon and watercress, soft cheese and chutney. wish that back home we have choices like this!

am really loaded with work but it's been fun (although tiring). i wanna travel here if i have the time (and money)!

  1. Welcome back! So now do you understand why I was scared of cold sandwiches for awhile after my Europe trip? Eating cold sandwiches in early Spring (4 degC) is depressing!
