Flying
Been very busy the past two weeks, having to travel to Hong Kong and Taipei for work and also to take care of personal matters.
I was surprised by the level of air pollution in both cities; Singapore's (and Tokyo's, and even Philly!!) air quality is really much better. I felt much more out of place in HK than Taipei; not being able to speak Cantonese was odd. Not that my lousy Mandarin was that useful in Taipei, but I could definitely navigate better.
I secured a meeting with Dr Chuang and he told me that he would recommend incision for eyelids as well as medial and lateral epicanthoplasty ("kai yan tou" and "kai yan wei") and also full rhinoplasty (bridge (silicon) implant, alarplasty and tip-plasty).
However, after reading Dr Dean Toriumi's website on the eventual nasal impact of rhinoplasty (over the years, your nose will tighten and shrink; what looks good initially will require revision so that you can breathe properly and your nose will look normal). I think if I ever do a rhinoplasty, will do with Toriumi; he uses rib implant which is stable and natural and he has tons of experience in this. And I agree with Toriumi's philosophy that he wants the nose job he does for you to be the only nose job you will ever need to do. Once in a lifetime is enough trauma for the nose.
Thoughts thoughts thoughts. Savings necessary. Taking leave necessary. For the sake of beauty!?
