Time Between Dog and Wolf

Just finished the k-drama "Time Between Dog and Wolf", starring Lee Jun-ki. It was one of the best k-dramas I've watched of all time. If you liked the Hong Kong movie "Infernal Affairs", then you'll love TBDW. Think action plot tied in with a bit of romance, an emphasis on the value of family ties and a lot of unpredictability - it has a very well-written script that's very exciting. The title addresses the ambiguity of twilight, when dog can be mistaken as wolf and vice versa; twilight, that period of the day when allegiances and loyalties are not always what they seem.

The plot starts off in Thailand and ends in Korea, involving intelligence agencies, gangsters and questions about morality and ethics. Good stuff, I think. Lee Jun-ki (of "The King and Clown" and "My Girl")'s acting has really improved and he's shown he isn't just a pretty boy anymore. I'm impressed. There were also stellar supporting performances from Choi Jae Sung as Mao Liwarat, Choi Ji-Ho as his gorgeous, loyal bodyguard and the adorable Park Gun Tae as the young Lee Soo-Hyun.

I wish they had chosen a lead actress that I could have related to. Nam Sang Mi does her job well but I would have preferred Shin Min-Ah.

In short, TBDW is a must-watch on any drama fan's list!
