Rule No. 1 *possible spoilers ahead*
I watched Rule No. 1 with Romukun yesterday. It was better than the typical Hong Kong horror movie with a shocking twist at the end. The soundtrack for this movie was effective, creepy and occasionally poetic. Shawn Yue and Ekin Cheng played their roles well, although I could have done without Fiona Xie in her role (she overacts, and the Mandarin dubbing for her sounds quite unnatural). I was displeased with a lack of plot consistency on the mode of spirit possession, but overall I'd rate this movie 7.5/10, which is not bad at all for a horror movie. But now alas I've creeped myself out a little. Darn.
