Phew! deadline met.

Havent been blogging for some time, was super busy. All that writing and more writing to do.. It's hitting more pages than I thought, and that's before revision. Anyway, I want to write something compact but powerful, something terse but beautiful. We'll see how that goes.

It's April already. This time last year I was in Kyoto, and getting ready to move in with M. Miss you!! I can just visualize the little adorable rock garden and the tatami-mat living room, and that wonderful kooky little kitchen. All the sections with the different cooking phases you'd gone through, from Indian to Thai to Italian. Jamie Oliver's cookbooks lining the shelves. Of course, and the fact that we didn't have a freezer, so everything we ate had to be fresh :) Someday I would like to get a house like that, or maybe an apartment like that. Good times, dear. I would get a puppy for the house too, maybe a Siberian Husky or a Rottweiler or German Shepherd, and its name shall be Inuki.

Darn, I know I wasn't supposed to get all homeJapan-sick, but here it goes again. Perhaps a case of grass really greener on the other side huh? While I'm on the subject, hanami parties!!!! Seeing the pretty sakura blossom, the tons of inebriated people drinking even more, and singing, and just hanging out having fun - why don't they have stuff like this here?? Karaoke. Matsumoto Kiyoshi. Konbini. The subways. Someone buy me a ticket to Kyoto now!!

Only two months left of college life before the real world beckons. I'd like to see what's out there. But I love my ivory tower too, and having the privilege of time and duty to critique social trends through my major.

One step at a time!! No looking back, no regrets.
