the senseless cycle

I look at the news these days and it doesn't seem to change very much. Terrorism (now even more visible in the UK) and its accompanying airport security - placing the burden of precautions on the 99% of airport passengers who are just normal folk. The unrest in war-torn Iraq festering even as a new war wages in Lebanon. The advances in technology really enable Man to explore novel ways of murder.

It does seem to be the Kali Yuga that we are living in.

On a different note: being back home this time is supposed to be a short relaxing period, before school starts again. Yet there is always something that has to be done. My time is not my own anymore, but perhaps it never had been.

Sue Bridehead confesses to Jude that "...I crave to get back to the life of my infancy and its freedom."
